Jessica Petit has owned Alpha Recherche Clinique since 2016 and is primarily in charge of the Val-Bélair clinic. Amélie Boulay and Laurence Petit decided to join Jessica as co-shareholders. Amélie manages the Lebourgneuf clinic and Laurence manages the Lévis clinic. The experience of this trio will enable the company to achieve remarkable expansion and continuity.

AmĂ©lie Boulay has been an outstanding nurse for the past 18 years. A graduate of the UniversitĂ© de Moncton, Edmundston Campus, she completed her Bachelor’s degree in 2004 and her Master’s degree in Nursing in 2015. She followed in the footsteps of her mother, who is also a dedicated nurse, because she always knew she wanted to care for people and make a difference to them! AmĂ©lie is versatile and passionate, succeeding in everything she touches. In the early days of her practice, she worked in a number of departments, only to realize that she loved passing on her knowledge to others. Baccalaureate nursing students have had the chance to learn from AmĂ©lie for 11 years.
Always curious, always wanting to move things forward, she is now Coordinator, Site Manager with us. Those lucky enough to work with her find AmĂ©lie to have an ultra-professional approach. An excellent teacher with a gift for communication, a team player, she knows how to help her colleagues every day. Very involved with her patients and her community, she’ll charm you not only with her little Brayon accent, but also with her very human side.

Laurie has been a nurse for 8 years and has always worked in research. While finishing her nursing training, she saw a job offer as a women’s health research nurse. She was curious to find out more and move into the unknown to satisfy her desire for a challenge at the start of her career. She was absolutely right to follow her instincts, as she has all the qualities needed to become a good research nurse. Laurie is very maternal, sensitive and hyper-protective of the people she loves. She is gentle, empathetic, smiling and, above all, very attentive to her patients. In her work, she’s the nurse everyone looks to for her attention to detail.
Organized and a perfectionist, Laurie is always ready to see her patients safely. She’s also positive and open to learning. She has a keen interest in learning new skills in different areas of expertise.

Our youngest nurse, our baby, but one with remarkable know-how! She’s versatile in everything she does. Her calm and patience mean she can handle anything with ease. She’s highly adaptable and a multitasker. She reacts very well to the unexpected and knows how to get by without difficulty.
Jennifer is very physically present in her work, but she also knows how to be more discreet and sensitive to others. Krystel has been a nursing assistant for almost 10 years. Krystel is remarkably mature and has an uncommon sense of initiative! She is hard-working and always ready to help others. Audrey Grenier has been a coordinator at Alpha Recherche Clinique for a few months now, and has already made her mark on the team. Audrey has completed a master’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences and has been practicing research since 2013. She has a thirst for learning new things and is definitely interested in everything. She stands out for her sense of initiative and really enjoys taking on new projects. She’s confident and determined!

Sarah-Ăve, new recruit 2022 to the Alpha Recherche Clinique team! Sarah-Ăve has been a baccalaureate nurse since 2015, but has already been practicing nursing for 9 years. Her main area of practice is cardiology. Her expertise will be an asset to our research team. Sarah-Ăve is calm, attentive, smiling and gentle! She’s ready to take on the challenges of clinical research, and handles novelty and adaptation with remarkable calm. She has a good sense of initiative and is keen to learn new nursing basics. Today we’d like to introduce you to one of our principal investigators at the Lebourgneuf center. Dr. Chantal Guimont! Dr. Guimont has many years’ experience in clinical research, and is always open to learning new discoveries to better meet the needs of her patients. The Alpha Recherche Clinique team considers Dr. Guimont to be an outstanding mentor. Her experience, knowledge and skills enable her to guide and advise those around her.
Dr. Guimont is a family physician who also works in the emergency room, and the founder of RĂ©seau Ma Clinique. In recent years, she founded RĂ©seau MAclinique with a number of physician colleagues, and is the network’s President and CEO. Her confidence, knowledge and thoroughness make her an excellent physician researcher! The Alpha Recherche Clinique team is proud to have a physician like Dr. Guimont on board.

In addition to being a physician-researcher, Dr. Beaulieu holds several roles within the MaClinique Network: she is co-director of the FMG, in charge of the emergency department and managed the COVID evaluation clinic (CDE) during the pandemic. She’s very versatile, hard-working and committed. She has excellent adaptability and can handle many things at once. Her expertise, knowledge and efficiency make her an inspiring doctor. She is rigorous and a perfectionist in everything she does. She’s also a great teacher. She doesn’t hesitate to explain her view of the situation after a thorough evaluation. She easily explains why things are the way they are. Her confidence, knowledge and clinical judgment are highly valued and influential within the Alpha Recherche Clinique team.

Today, the Alpha Recherche Clinique team would like to introduce you to one of the team’s principal investigators: Dr. Maya Naccache.
Dr. Naccache is a family physician who also works in the emergency room. She is very versatile, discreet, attentive and available. Dr. Naccache has several years’ experience in hospital settings and has been practicing with the MAclinique network since 2019. She works mainly in the minor emergency department, but also offers her services for complete follow-up for all musculoskeletal problems. She also acts as a health professional specialized in the screening and treatment of sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections (STBBI). She is a highly professional and dynamic consultant. As a researcher, she is very interested in and open to new studies. She’s a good team player and makes sure everyone around her is correct.
She’s an excellent, involved and informed researcher! Patients love her for her accessibility, simplicity and approachability.
Dr. Kwan Tat has been a researcher with the Alpha Recherche Clinique team for 5 years. He started at the Val BĂ©lair center and now does follow-ups at the Lebourgneuf clinic. Dr. Kwan Tat is a highly versatile and committed physician. He has been practicing family medicine and emergency medicine for 14 years. Dr. Kwan Tat is an avid traveller and offers his services in different regions of Quebec. He has extensive experience in the emergency room and spends a great deal of time working with geriatric patients. He is also passionate about research and is always interested in learning more about new treatments.
Kind, polite and respectful, Dr. Kwan Tat is undoubtedly a valuable researcher for the Alpha team! His curiosity and drive make him a unique doctor.
Alpha Recherche Clinique would like to introduce one of the team’s youngest researchers, Dr. Verdant-Franco! Dr. Verdant-Franco has been a family physician since 2017 and works within the MAclinique network. She is very organized and dedicated to her patients. She has a very heavy workload of patients, practices in the emergency room and is interested in research. Dr. Verdant-Franco is meticulous and very conscientious in her work. She’s a perfectionist who wants to do things right. Patients appreciate her gentleness, discretion and attention to detail.
She is often called upon to manage complex healthcare situations, and can intervene with the utmost professionalism. Her rigorous analysis makes her an excellent researcher.
Dr. Cloutier is a urologist by profession, a passionate researcher and a teacher of up-and-coming urologists. He stands out for his generous presence. He takes the time to listen and understand the interests of each patient, and he stands out for his human touch. He always takes the time to assess the situation before intervening. His patients love him for his human and empathetic approach. He’s very attentive to their needs. On the other hand, Dr. Cloutier always shows altruism and solidarity with his team members. He greatly appreciates everyone’s work and collaboration. His caring personality makes him easy to work with. With a keen interest in advancing knowledge to better treat his patients’ needs, he always strives for the best possible alliance to achieve common goals. Dr. Pinet is a dermatologist and new researcher with the Alpha Recherche Clinique team. It’s not surprising to learn why she chose the medical profession. She has a big heart and is very sensitive to others. She wants to help people in need, and her generosity is remarkable. Dr. Pinet is involved in a number of humanitarian causes . She is cultured, caring and passionate about many different things. Dr. Pinet is a committed researcher and always knew she wanted to do research after graduating from dermatology. She wants to find new treatments to better support her patients.
Being a dermatologist requires listening to patients, as well as psychological and teaching skills. Skin conditions often have a negative impact on patients’ quality of life, which is why the profession can be a difficult one and must be practiced by someone who is good at listening, dialogue and discretion.
Dr. Pinet definitely has all these qualities, and is without doubt a caring and meticulous dermatologist!
Dr. Steve Mathieu is one of our dermatologists. Dr Mathieu studied medicine at the Université de Sherbrooke, then Dermatology at Laval University. He then completed his training at the Saint-Louis Hospital in France, as well as in Brussels in Belgium with a specialty in cutaneous lymphoma. Dr. Mathieu chose the profession of doctor when he was an accountant for 2 years while he was volunteering in a Montreal hospital, this was the spark to make him evolve from accountant to doctor.
Dr. Mathieu has long been Head of the Department of the CHU, he also travels regularly to Baie Comeau to serve patients in this region. His patients appreciate him enormously for his ease of approach, his listening, his sense of assessing the overall situation, the feeling for patients to be unique. We are very lucky to have him on our team, always available to answer our questions, to teach us more in the field of dermatology. Curious and interested in new ways of treating his patients, this makes him a remarkable Investigator. Always in a good mood and attentive to others, this makes him a colleague we could not do without.

Dr Babakifard has a lot of experience in clinical research. In fact, she leads several Phase 1 studies. She joined the Alpha team as a sub-investigator for Phase 2 and 3 studies. She is very interested in womenâs health studies but also wants to be involved in diverse studies. She has been a doctor for 20 years, practices family medicine, has a lot of experience in the emergency room and has also taught her knowledge to residents of family medicine.

We are lucky to have among our specialists Dr Bernard Cantin, cardiologist.
He practices mainly at the IUCPQ and also consults at the cardiology clinic at MAclinique Lebourgneuf. He is highly specialized in heart transplantation and heart failure. Dr Cantin is dedicated to medicine and the advancement of cardiology research. He is the author of nearly a hundred articles, abstracts and scientific conferences.
He is concise, competent and dedicated to the profession. He listens to his patients and is deeply involved in the medical community by serving on several committees and advisory boards. He is currently the President of the Association des Cardiologues du Québec and also participates in the Thoracic Organ Transplant Committee at Transplant Québec. An auxiliary nurse since 1985, she has extensive clinical and research experience. Dr. Patry is one of the pioneers of Alpha Recherche Clinique, having been involved as an investigator right from the start. He believed in research and didnât hesitate to take part in the Alpha project, which has now been running for 14 years. After all these years, everyone considers him to be a doctor who listens to his patients. His patience, understanding and human touch make him a well-liked and approachable man.
Dr. Patry has been practicing family medicine for over 30 years.He sits on a number of boards, particularly to support people with dementia and their families.He advocates multidisciplinary work with them. He regularly takes part in training courses and gives lectures himself, to help healthcare professionals be better equipped to deal with this clientele.
He is a dedicated man, whether to his family by being there for them to support them in their activities and/or projects, or as a doctor. He finds time for physical activity and travel. He even allows himself a second job that reconciles work and leisure.

Dr. Nadeau is a great man in every sense of the word! He has now been part of our team for 3 years as a research investigator (principal investigator of several studies). He is a calm doctor who listens to his patients’ needs, which they greatly appreciate.
Dr. Nadeau began his studies with a bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy, which he also practiced, before becoming an accomplished family physician in 2017.
This father of 2 beautiful children manages to juggle all his obligations, be they family or professional, as well as many others.

Dr. Walsh has been a research investigator at Alpha Recherche Clinique for over 2 years! She is the 2nd female investigator to join the Val-BĂ©lair team. She can lead clinical studies as a principal investigator, as her experience and diligence allow her to do so. She is a gentle and patient doctor who takes the time to listen, which is appreciated by her team and her patients.
Dr. Walsh has been practicing medicine since 2019 as a family physician at the Val-BĂ©lair Medical Clinic. She has a passion for nature hiking and loves to travel all over the world.

Dr. Béatrice Picard hails from Lac-St-Jean, where she studied, then came to Québec City for her medical training. She is a young doctor who knows how to apply her learning and experience for the benefit of her patients and her work team.
What’s more, we’ve had the opportunity to have Dr. Picard as an investigator with us at Alpha Clinical Research for over a year now. She’s a dedicated, dynamic woman with no shortage of energy. She loves to get involved with new protocols and enjoys giving her patients the opportunity to benefit from cutting-edge treatment.
Dr. Picard enjoys nature walks to recharge her batteries. She also loves cooking for her family and trying out new recipes. She also enjoys spending special time with her loved ones, something she’ll be able to do regularly in the coming year, as she’ll have plenty of time with her loved ones, her partner and her new little baby!

Sandra has been part of the team since 2016 and manages the administrative side of clinical studies. She is organized, attentive and, above all, very generous. Heidi is a research assistant and Lebourgneuf’s Fashionista! Her colorful personality brings a great deal of energy to the team. She’s always smiling, loyal and, above all, determined. Dr. LĂ©vesque is originally from eastern Quebec, and completed her medical studies in the Capitale Nationale region. She has now been a family physician for over 5 years.
Dr. LĂ©vesque has been working with us at the Val-BĂ©lair clinic for over 1 year now. She is passionate about research and dedicated to her patients. She loves to learn and understand each of the protocols she’s involved in, and to pass on the benefits to her patients. It’s a pleasure to work with her every day, and to enjoy her contagious smile in the team and with her patients.
In her spare time, Dr. LĂ©vesque enjoys outdoor physical activity, such as cycling, jogging and hiking.
Dr. Beaulieu is one of three physicians who pioneered research at ALPHA Recherche Clinique in Val-BĂ©lair. An experienced investigator, he has been an Investigator since 1992 and joined the ALPHA team in May 2012. He is a family physician who listens to his patients and takes time with each of them. His patients love him for his attentiveness, his ability to listen, his calmness, his quest for the right treatment, his availability and his involvement. He has a keen interest and expertise in mental health, and is a mentor to his medical colleagues in this specialty.
Believing in the power of clinical research to advance medical knowledge and develop new ways of treating the population, he is always available to follow up participants in clinical trials.

In 2008, MarylĂšne VĂ©zina and Sylvie Martin, both nurses by profession, decided to combine their passion and ideas to build expertise in clinical research in Quebec. They decided to open a research center in Loretteville, Quebec, to offer the population the possibility of receiving high-quality medical follow-up through research protocols conscientiously selected by the team of nurses and research physicians.
MarylÚne has been a nurse by profession for 30 years and has been practicing clinical research for over 25 years. She is passionate about research and her boundless curiosity makes her an outstanding president. She is a mentor in the field of research. Her clinical judgment and knowledge make her an excellent teacher for her employees but also an ally for medical researchers. MarylÚne has held various roles in her nursing profession such as bedside nurse, nurse at the Centre anti poison du Québec, research assistant, project director and clinical research consultant. Her experience and knowledge are evident in his practice. In addition to being positive and persevering, MarylÚne is a very avant-garde person.
