Today, the Alpha Recherche Clinique team wishes to highlight the important work of one of the company’s managers, Laurence Kim Petit. Laurence is the team’s adventurer! She loves a challenge, and stands out for her calm, collected approach and, above all, her resourcefulness. She’s perfectly capable of handling urgent situations. Laurence has been a nurse for 14 years and has a wealth of experience in many areas of expertise. She worked extensively with pediatric patients at the Chu de St-Justine and then decided to take on other challenges in remote areas.
She has always been interested in practicing in Quebec’s far north, to perfect her knowledge and ability to intervene independently. Her years of experience working with different clienteles and cultures have given her a strong sense of responsibility and facilitated her ability to make informed decisions. Laurence is also an excellent nurse on a practical level, not only because she loves care techniques, but also because of her agility in communicating with people. Her ability to listen, her sensitivity, her ability to bring people together and her empathy make her an excellent nurse.

Audrey has been a licensed practical nurse since 2014 and has been part of the Alpha team since 2021. Serious and diligent in her work, she is always ready to lend a helping hand to her colleagues. She is a proactive nurse, detail-oriented, and always gives 100%. Both patients and her team appreciate her dedication.
Pleasant to be around, gentle, and conscientious, she is truly an exceptional colleague.
Marie-Josée works at the Lévis clinic in what she calls her “kingdom,” the laboratory. She stands out for her warm welcome and her contagious good mood, both with patients and colleagues.

A licensed practical nurse since 1985, she has extensive professional experience. Over the course of her career, clinical research has been part of her daily work for more than 25 years.
We are pleased to introduce Maude-Audrey, Clinical Nurse.
She began her career mainly in neonatology. However, wishing to improve her quality of life and take on a new professional challenge, she happily joined the ALPHA Lévis team.
Although research comes with its share of complexity, Maude-Audrey has shown an impressive ability to learn quickly. Always ready to help, support, or take initiative, she integrates seamlessly into the team.
Calm, meticulous, and thoughtful by nature, she ensures the satisfaction of those in her care through her attentive listening and dedication.
Dr. Kwan Tat has been a researcher with the Alpha Recherche Clinique team for 5 years. He started at the Val Bélair center and now does follow-ups at the Lebourgneuf clinic. Dr. Kwan Tat is a highly versatile and committed physician. He has been practicing family medicine and emergency medicine for 14 years. Dr. Kwan Tat is an avid traveller and offers his services in different regions of Quebec. He has extensive experience in the emergency room and spends a great deal of time working with geriatric patients. He is also passionate about research and is always interested in learning more about new treatments.
Kind, polite and respectful, Dr. Kwan Tat is undoubtedly a valuable researcher for the Alpha team! His curiosity and drive make him a unique doctor.
Dr. Beaudoin has been practicing family medicine with dedication since 2006. She has been the director of MaClinique Lévis and co-head of the GMF MaClinique Lévis since 2021. She leverages her professional expertise to provide her patients with personalized, accessible, and high-quality care.
Alongside her family medicine practice, Dr. Beaudoin has been actively involved in clinical research projects at Alpha’s Lévis site since June 2024, with the goal of improving the quality of care. Her involvement in research allows some patients to access clinical studies within a rigorous and ethical framework.
Dr. Poulin began practicing family medicine in 2007. With a particular interest in perinatal care, she has pursued additional training to deepen her knowledge in this field. Her compassionate approach and attentive listening allow her to support patients of all ages, ensuring high-quality medical follow-up and respectful care.
Dr. Poulin has been part of the Alpha Clinical Research team at the Lévis site since November 2024. She is ambitious and enjoys taking on new challenges—her involvement in research is a testament to that.
Practicing family medicine since 2013, Dr. Poulin places special emphasis on the quality of her interactions with patients. She takes the time needed to ensure they feel understood, respected, and at ease. During her early years of practice, she developed a strong interest in pediatric care, which now makes up a large part of her work.
Since October 2024, Dr. Poulin has been collaborating with the Alpha Clinical Research team at the Lévis site to provide comprehensive, personalized care tailored to the specific needs of each of her patients.
Dr. Deschênes joined the Alpha Clinical Research team at the Lévis site as an investigator in November 2024. His passion for respiratory health enables Alpha and his team to conduct studies aimed at improving the quality of life of people living with respiratory diseases.
He completed his medical training before specializing as a pulmonologist–intensivist in 2008. He has been practicing in the Chaudière-Appalaches region for several years. His professionalism and expertise make him a recognized reference in his field.
