AmĂ©lie Boulay has been an outstanding nurse for the past 18 years. A graduate of the UniversitĂ© de Moncton, Edmundston Campus, she completed her Bachelor’s degree in 2004 and her Master’s degree in Nursing in 2015. She followed in the footsteps of her mother, who is also a dedicated nurse, because she always knew she wanted to care for people and make a difference to them! AmĂ©lie is versatile and passionate, succeeding in everything she touches. In the early days of her practice, she worked in a number of departments, only to realize that she loved passing on her knowledge to others. Baccalaureate nursing students have had the chance to learn from AmĂ©lie for 11 years.
Always curious, always wanting to move things forward, she is now Coordinator, Site Manager with us. Those lucky enough to work with her find AmĂ©lie to have an ultra-professional approach. An excellent teacher with a gift for communication, a team player, she knows how to help her colleagues every day. Very involved with her patients and her community, she’ll charm you not only with her little Brayon accent, but also with her very human side.

A nurse for twenty years now, MĂ©lanie has acquired a wealth of knowledge over the course of her career. She has worked in many fields of expertise, which helps her a great deal in her role as research coordinator. She excels in clinical research, being meticulous, hard-working, a good listener and, above all, highly intelligent. Her good clinical judgment is spontaneous, and patients love MĂ©lanie right from the start.

Laurie has been a nurse for 8 years and has always worked in research. While finishing her nursing training, she saw a job offer as a women’s health research nurse. She was curious to find out more and move into the unknown to satisfy her desire for a challenge at the start of her career. She was absolutely right to follow her instincts, as she has all the qualities needed to become a good research nurse. Laurie is very maternal, sensitive and hyper-protective of the people she loves. She is gentle, empathetic, smiling and, above all, very attentive to her patients. In her work, she’s the nurse everyone looks to for her attention to detail.
Organized and a perfectionist, Laurie is always ready to see her patients safely. She’s also positive and open to learning. She has a keen interest in learning new skills in different areas of expertise.

Our youngest nurse, our baby, but one with remarkable know-how! She’s versatile in everything she does. Her calm and patience mean she can handle anything with ease. She’s highly adaptable and a multitasker. She reacts very well to the unexpected and knows how to get by without difficulty.
Jennifer is very physically present in her work, but she also knows how to be more discreet and sensitive to others. She wants the best for the people around her, and likes communication to be efficient and productive. She is a generous nurse with her patients. She’s always attentive and a good listener when she’s working with them. Patients love her for her warm, empathetic approach. She’s been in the healthcare field for 5 years, and she’s already a great nurse!
Krystel has been a nursing assistant for almost 10 years. Krystel is remarkably mature and has an uncommon sense of initiative! She is hard-working and always ready to help others. She’s interested, involved and eager to learn new things. She is constantly striving to improve her skills. She has a great sense of entrepreneurship and is able to focus on priorities.
On the other hand, Krystel is able to let go of her serious side and bring out her sense of humor. She’s definitely the funniest member of the team. She knows how to make her colleagues laugh, and her good humor is contagious. Every morning, her enthusiasm spreads to the people around her. Audrey Grenier has been a coordinator at Alpha Recherche Clinique for a few months now, and has already made her mark on the team. She is undoubtedly the most passionate member of the team, and stands out for her resourcefulness! Audrey has completed a master’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences and has been practicing research since 2013. She has a thirst for learning new things and is definitely interested in everything. She stands out for her sense of initiative and really enjoys taking on new projects. She’s confident and determined!
She likes to do things well and is not afraid to adapt to new ways of doing things. She’s positive about change and wants to move research projects forward. Audrey is always available and ready to help others!

Sarah-Ăve, new recruit 2022 to the Alpha Recherche Clinique team! Sarah-Ăve has been a baccalaureate nurse since 2015, but has already been practicing nursing for 9 years. Her main area of practice is cardiology. Her expertise will be an asset to our research team. Sarah-Ăve is calm, attentive, smiling and gentle! She’s ready to take on the challenges of clinical research, and handles novelty and adaptation with remarkable calm. She has a good sense of initiative and is keen to learn new nursing basics. Her open-mindedness, positivity and ability to listen will make her an excellent research nurse.

Today we’d like to introduce you to one of our principal investigators at the Lebourgneuf center. Dr. Chantal Guimont! Dr. Guimont has many years’ experience in clinical research, and is always open to learning new discoveries to better meet the needs of her patients. The Alpha Recherche Clinique team considers Dr. Guimont to be an outstanding mentor. Her experience, knowledge and skills enable her to guide and advise those around her.
Dr. Guimont is a family physician who also works in the emergency room, and the founder of RĂ©seau Ma Clinique. In recent years, she founded RĂ©seau MAclinique with a number of physician colleagues, and is the network’s President and CEO. Her confidence, knowledge and thoroughness make her an excellent physician researcher! The Alpha Recherche Clinique team is proud to have a physician like Dr. Guimont on board.

Today we’d like to introduce you to one of our principal investigators, Dr RaphaĂ«l Poulin Robitaille. Dr. Robitaille has been a researcher with the Alpha Recherche Clinique team for 3 years now. He is a passionate physician !!!! Patients love Dr. Robitaille because he’s patient, caring and very empathetic. He also stands out for his simplicity. Patients are not shy about approaching him with their needs, fears and questions. His easy-to-understand metaphors make patients feel at ease right from the start.
Dr. Robitaillle is very committed to his clinical practice and to increasing clinical knowledge in the research community. He is positive and believes that it is always possible to improve and find a solution to meet the growing health needs of the population. Dr. Robitaille is also one of the founders of the MaClinique Network.

In addition to being a physician-researcher, Dr. Beaulieu holds several roles within the MaClinique Network: she is co-director of the FMG, in charge of the emergency department and managed the COVID evaluation clinic (CDE) during the pandemic. She’s very versatile, hard-working and committed. She has excellent adaptability and can handle many things at once. Her expertise, knowledge and efficiency make her an inspiring doctor. She is rigorous and a perfectionist in everything she does. She’s also a great teacher. She doesn’t hesitate to explain her view of the situation after a thorough evaluation. She easily explains why things are the way they are. Her confidence, knowledge and clinical judgment are highly valued and influential within the Alpha Recherche Clinique team.

Today, the Alpha Recherche Clinique team would like to introduce you to one of the team’s principal investigators: Dr. Maya Naccache.
Dr. Naccache is a family physician who also works in the emergency room. She is very versatile, discreet, attentive and available. Dr. Naccache has several years’ experience in hospital settings and has been practicing with the MAclinique network since 2019. She works mainly in the minor emergency department, but also offers her services for complete follow-up for all musculoskeletal problems. She also acts as a health professional specialized in the screening and treatment of sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections (STBBI). She is a highly professional and dynamic consultant. As a researcher, she is very interested in and open to new studies. She’s a good team player and makes sure everyone around her is correct.
She’s an excellent, involved and informed researcher! Patients love her for her accessibility, simplicity and approachability.
Dr. Kwan Tat has been a researcher with the Alpha Recherche Clinique team for 5 years. He started at the Val BĂ©lair center and now does follow-ups at the Lebourgneuf clinic. Dr. Kwan Tat is a highly versatile and committed physician. He has been practicing family medicine and emergency medicine for 14 years. Dr. Kwan Tat is an avid traveller and offers his services in different regions of Quebec. He has extensive experience in the emergency room and spends a great deal of time working with geriatric patients. He is also passionate about research and is always interested in learning more about new treatments.
Kind, polite and respectful, Dr. Kwan Tat is undoubtedly a valuable researcher for the Alpha team! His curiosity and drive make him a unique doctor.
Alpha Recherche Clinique would like to introduce one of the team’s youngest researchers, Dr. Verdant-Franco! Dr. Verdant-Franco has been a family physician since 2017 and works within the MAclinique network. She is very organized and dedicated to her patients. She has a very heavy workload of patients, practices in the emergency room and is interested in research. Dr. Verdant-Franco is meticulous and very conscientious in her work. She’s a perfectionist who wants to do things right. Patients appreciate her gentleness, discretion and attention to detail.
She is often called upon to manage complex healthcare situations, and can intervene with the utmost professionalism. Her rigorous analysis makes her an excellent researcher.
Dr. Cloutier is a urologist by profession, a passionate researcher and a teacher of up-and-coming urologists. He stands out for his generous presence. He takes the time to listen and understand the interests of each patient, and he stands out for his human touch. He always takes the time to assess the situation before intervening. His patients love him for his human and empathetic approach. He’s very attentive to their needs. On the other hand, Dr. Cloutier always shows altruism and solidarity with his team members. He greatly appreciates everyone’s work and collaboration. His caring personality makes him easy to work with. With a keen interest in advancing knowledge to better treat his patients’ needs, he always strives for the best possible alliance to achieve common goals. Dr. Cloutier is truly a unique physician in his own right.
Even though he’s very busy, he’s committed to many projects for the good of his profession. He is also an avid sportsman. His enjoyment of sport makes him productive and well-rested to better evaluate and achieve all his great projects.
Dr. Pinet is a dermatologist and new researcher with the Alpha Recherche Clinique team. It’s not surprising to learn why she chose the medical profession. She has a big heart and is very sensitive to others. She wants to help people in need, and her generosity is remarkable. Dr. Pinet is involved in a number of humanitarian causes . She is cultured, caring and passionate about many different things. Dr. Pinet is a committed researcher and always knew she wanted to do research after graduating from dermatology. She wants to find new treatments to better support her patients.
Being a dermatologist requires listening to patients, as well as psychological and teaching skills. Skin conditions often have a negative impact on patients’ quality of life, which is why the profession can be a difficult one and must be practiced by someone who is good at listening, dialogue and discretion.
Dr. Pinet definitely has all these qualities, and is without doubt a caring and meticulous dermatologist!
Dr. Steve Mathieu is one of our dermatologists. Dr Mathieu studied medicine at the Université de Sherbrooke, then Dermatology at Laval University. He then completed his training at the Saint-Louis Hospital in France, as well as in Brussels in Belgium with a specialty in cutaneous lymphoma. Dr. Mathieu chose the profession of doctor when he was an accountant for 2 years while he was volunteering in a Montreal hospital, this was the spark to make him evolve from accountant to doctor.
Dr. Mathieu has long been Head of the Department of the CHU, he also travels regularly to Baie Comeau to serve patients in this region. His patients appreciate him enormously for his ease of approach, his listening, his sense of assessing the overall situation, the feeling for patients to be unique. We are very lucky to have him on our team, always available to answer our questions, to teach us more in the field of dermatology. Curious and interested in new ways of treating his patients, this makes him a remarkable Investigator. Always in a good mood and attentive to others, this makes him a colleague we could not do without.

An endocrinologist by training, he joined the team of specialists at Alpha Recherche Clinique in 2021. Dr Babakifard has a lot of experience in clinical research. In fact, she leads several Phase 1 studies. She joined the Alpha team as a sub-investigator for Phase 2 and 3 studies. She is very interested in womenâs health studies but also wants to be involved in diverse studies. She has been a doctor for 20 years, practices family medicine, has a lot of experience in the emergency room and has also taught her knowledge to residents of family medicine.
Dr Babakifard is very versatile and open to the advancement of knowledge and new care practices. She is a positive and dedicated doctor!

We are lucky to have among our specialists Dr Bernard Cantin, cardiologist.
He practices mainly at the IUCPQ and also consults at the cardiology clinic at MAclinique Lebourgneuf. He is highly specialized in heart transplantation and heart failure. Dr Cantin is dedicated to medicine and the advancement of cardiology research. He is the author of nearly a hundred articles, abstracts and scientific conferences.
He is concise, competent and dedicated to the profession. He listens to his patients and is deeply involved in the medical community by serving on several committees and advisory boards. He is currently the President of the Association des Cardiologues du Québec and also participates in the Thoracic Organ Transplant Committee at Transplant Québec.
